Your history moves with you, not just your future transactions
Leads, accounts, inventory and contract history migrated into DexVee in a structured, verified process — no blank slate.
The challenge
The most common reason teams abandon a new system in the first month isn’t the software — it’s that their history didn’t come with them. Without past deals, account context or open balances, every conversation starts with "let me check the old system," which defeats the entire point of switching.
Manual re-entry is slow and error-prone at any real volume, and nobody wants to be the person responsible for typing three years of customer history into a new tool by hand.
How DexVee helps
A structured, verified migration — not a one-shot import
Migration is scoped, mapped, test-run and verified before it touches production data, so what lands in DexVee is trustworthy from day one.
Field mapping
Your existing fields (custom stages, statuses, categories) are mapped to DexVee’s data model before migration runs, not guessed at afterward.
Staged migration
A test migration into a sandbox environment lets you verify accuracy before the real cutover — mistakes get caught before they’re live.
Data validation
Post-migration checks confirm record counts, key relationships (accounts to deals, invoices to payments) and totals reconcile against the source.
Open-transaction continuity
Open invoices, active contracts and in-progress deals migrate with their live status intact, not reset to a default state that loses context.
Minimal cutover downtime
Migration is scheduled and staged to minimise the window where teams can’t work in either system.
Sign-off before go-live
You review and approve migrated data before it becomes the system of record — migration isn’t considered done until you’ve verified it.
What this looks like in practice
- A rep can see a customer’s full deal history on day one, not "everything from today onward."
- Finance doesn’t have to manually re-key open invoices and outstanding balances into the new system.
- The team trusts the new system’s data from launch, instead of treating it as "the new thing" running alongside the old spreadsheet for months.
Frequently asked questions
Most commonly CSV/Excel exports from spreadsheets or legacy tools. If you’re moving from a specific named system, tell us during scoping — we’ll assess the export options and the cleanest migration path.
That’s normal — part of the migration process is data cleansing (de-duplication, standardising categories/statuses) before it lands in DexVee, rather than migrating the mess as-is.
Core historical data migration is included as part of a standard implementation engagement. Larger or more complex migrations (very high volume, multiple source systems) are scoped separately during discovery.
