HR processes your team can actually follow
Leave requests, attendance, time tracking, expense approvals and reporting lines in one place — no more chasing paper forms or forwarded emails.
The challenge
As headcount grows past a handful of people, informal HR processes — leave requests over chat, attendance tracked in a register, expense claims submitted as photos of receipts — stop scaling. Approvals get lost, there’s no audit trail, and someone ends up reconstructing attendance and leave by hand at month end.
Reporting hierarchy is often just tribal knowledge, which makes org-wide visibility (who reports to whom, who’s covering for someone on leave) a manual, error-prone exercise.
How DexVee helps
Structured HR workflows, without adding a dedicated HRIS
DexVee’s HR module isn’t a separate system to maintain — it shares the same user directory and login as every other module, so employees have one place to go, not five.
Leave management
Employees apply for leave against their balance for each leave type (casual, sick, earned, unpaid, maternity, paternity and other); overlapping requests are blocked, and HR approves or rejects with remarks, which updates the balance.
Attendance & time tracking
Check-in and check-out attendance with a monthly view, plus a time tracker for logging hours — in the same platform your team already uses for work orders and tickets.
Expense approvals
Employees file their own expense claims and group them into expense reports; an admin approves, rejects with a reason, or marks them reimbursed, and every decision records who made it.
Reporting lines
Each user can have a manager, shown as an org hierarchy in settings — and a direct manager can work the helpdesk tickets assigned to their reports.
Employee records
One record per employee — code, department, position, employment type and join date — alongside performance reviews and recruitment for your job postings.
Wellbeing action items
Log a follow-up about a team member with a reminder date and track it to done, so a check-in someone promised doesn’t get forgotten.
What this looks like in practice
- A leave request is approved (or rejected, with a reason) in the system instead of getting lost in a chat thread.
- Attendance, leave and expense decisions sit in one place with an audit trail, rather than in registers and inboxes.
- Who reports to whom is recorded in the system, not just known informally.
Frequently asked questions
No. DexVee doesn’t run payroll or pay salaries. Admins can record salary structures and compute monthly salary TDS (new tax regime only, without HRA or Chapter VI-A deductions) with a Form 24Q export — your payroll process stays where it is.
Approvals are role-based: HR/admin roles approve leave, and admins approve expense reports. Approval chains per department or leave type aren’t configurable today.
The DexVee mobile app has leave, attendance check-in/out and expense screens. Which roles can use them depends on your organisation’s role permissions for the HR module.
